Shade first: the free fix that beats every spray

Before you buy anything, use placement. UV damage is a dose problem — total hours of direct sun over the gear's life — so every hour in shade is an hour of aging you skipped.

Add shade or a protectant before the chalky stage — once plastic goes brittle, no spray brings it back.

Does UV damage happen on cloudy days or in winter?
